Local girl to attend BYU study-tour class A semester of study at the University of Salzburg, Austria, Aus-tria, awaits 140 Brigham Young University students as they prepare to leave Feb. 6 Judy Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Omar Hansen, a junior German major at BYU, is going from Springville. In the group also, will be students from the University of Utah. Ricks College and Utah State University. They will be accompanied ac-companied by four BYU faculty fac-ulty members. The group will leave from the Salt Lake airport on a KLM Royal Dutch jet transport, trans-port, traveling to New York City, Amsterdam, Holland; and Munich, Germany, where they, will board busses for Salzburg ' Prerequsite for the trip is at least two semesters of German. At Salzburg the students will take advanced courses in German, Ger-man, and study German and Austrian history, music, European Eu-ropean culture. Supplementary courses will be taught by the professors who accompany the group. The group will return June 17. During their stay in Austria Aus-tria students will live in two hotels and various private homes. Side trips planned include a six-day Easter trip to Rome, Florence and Venice, and a three-day return trip to Venice Ven-ice in mid-May. Upon completion comple-tion of the semester May 29, students will tour various European Eu-ropean countries. |
