Letter to the Editor Citizen warns on losing our freedoms ; Dear Editor: I wonder if you will find a place in your column for my small voice in protest against the gradual encroachment of those terrible tyrannical, anti-freedom anti-freedom forces, which are secretly se-cretly bound pledged and committed com-mitted to the eventual total destruction of the Freedom and Liberty which was established estab-lished so nobly by and through our wise, brave and God loving lov-ing forefathers who conceived, penned and signed that wonderful won-derful document the Constitution Constitu-tion of our grand U.S.A.; those same principles of personal Freedom and Liberty which millions have given their lives to defend and preserve. Those tyrannical powers are creeping upon us so quietly and inconspicuously, binding us down a little here, and a little there, until if we do not awaken to the awful truth, and arise in mighty mass to oppose the policies, laws, and demands which are being forced upon us through our government agencies, which tend to violate our Constitutional Constitu-tional Rights, we are going to find ourselves with no mors individuality than puppets, ruled over by power seeking dictators. I would like to borrow two questions asked by Mr. Roland Ro-land O. Pabst in a column of your paper of Aug. 6, 1964, when the powers to be were insisting on forcing chlorina-tion chlorina-tion down our throats by the forces of law edicts. Mr. Roland Ro-land Pabst asked, "How long must we continue to bow down to every government demand?" de-mand?" And, "Isn't there some stopping place in giving up our freedoms?" Dear friends and neighbors; there is not going to be any stopping place in giving up our freedoms until the populous popu-lous rises up in revolt against the anti-freedom powers which1 are presently, holding such obvious ob-vious sway over the minds of our governing officials. We must rise up in great zeal; and elect men to offices of ; - i Robert S. Grover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin S. This brings me to the main point which stired me up to the desire to write this article. I went to the poles to vote and what do you know? Yes it was so obvious that I'll wager wa-ger very few liked what they found there this time. A law has been established which will not permit a voter to vote fo; the man who stands out inthe voter's personal judgement as the man he wants in office, if said voter knows and wants to vote for a man or men on the ballot of the opposing party because he wants to help put men in government offices who he feels he can trust to uphold the principle which said voter wants maintained main-tained in our government. Yov voters all discovered that the anti-freedom powers wiped your freedom to vote according accord-ing to your secret choice right off the table and out the window. win-dow. And you are forced to vote 100 Republican, or 100 Democratic, or step aside and not exercise your Constitutional rights to vote for the men of your choice. In other words it has come down to the ridiculous state of affairs in this State of Utah (and no doubt other States of the USA) that a person does not have a legal right to vote, unless he or she is 100 Democrat or 106, Republican. It seems to me that this is the kind of unholy, unrighteous unright-eous extreemism which we must watch for; and take action ac-tion to clean out and eliminate from our government. I am convinced that if we lend listening ears to the many voices which through courage and determination are now resounding throughout our precious nation in a grand effort to awaken and warn us of the encroaching conspiracy which is stealthily destroying our freedoms, we will understand under-stand in due time what we can do 'to bring about the answers to Mr. Pabst's questions quoted quot-ed above, and again; "How long must we continue to bow down to every , government agency demand?" And, "Isn't there some stopping place in giving up our freedoms?" Sincerely yours in our struggle strug-gle to preserve our Freedom and Liberty, Aaron A.
