Show Sage Creek plays in Salt Lake City today for World Series berth Sage Creek, winner of the District WBBA tournament at Mapleton, which concluded last Saturday night,, will plaj today at noon at Rose Park for a .chance to enter the California Cal-ifornia world series. A wir will assure them a berth ir the finals. A large crowd of people at- : tended the District 2 WBBA : Little League ball games that 1 were held in Mapleton last ' week. Beginning Thursday : morning, four games were played. In the first game, Ma-i Ma-i pleton beat Hobble Creek, 9 to i 1, in the second game, Sage Creek beat American Fork Beehive 6 to 0. The third game brought vistory for Tooele American over Millcreek of Springville, 7 to 1 and in the fourth game Spring Creek won over the Tooele National team 5 to 1. In the Friday games, Mapleton Maple-ton suffered a crushing defeat from Sage Creek, with a score of 18 to 0 and Spring Creek lost to Tooele American with a score of 7 to 2. The final game was played Saturday at 4:30 between Sage ' Creek and Tooele American. 1 The Sage Creek boys made a " run in the second inning and " Tooele made a run in the 4th t inning. The game was then ' tied until the sixth inning, when Sage Creek showed their winning ability and made ' four runs. They became the winners of the tournament, t and will go on to Rose Park in i Salt Lake to compete inthe , State WBBA games.
