'. . i I " ' ' ENGAGED Miss Elizabeth Christine Swain of Lander, Wyoming, whose engagement to Kay Leon Maynard is told. Former Springville man to take Wyoming bride in May rites News of interest to the many relatives and friends here is announcement this week of the engagement of Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Christine Swain; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Swain of Lander, Wyoming, to Kay Leon Maynard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil J. Maynard, also of Lander, formerly of Springville, and a grandson of James A. Rothwell of this city. The marriage will take place May 9 in the Lander LDS Chapel followed by a reception in the cultural hall. A graduate of Freemont County Vocational High School, the attractive bride-to-be resided in Denver, Colorado, two years where she was employed and attended business school. A native of Ogden, she graduated also from Freemont Beauty School. Mr. Maynard graduated from Springville High School and was in the military service for three years, later attending attend-ing Brigham Young University. He moved with his parents to Lander in 1962 and is presently employed by Geneva Steel Company at Atlantic City near Lander. |
