Show Game employees are Scouters A major part of Utah's department de-partment of fish and game employees are active in Scouting Scout-ing work throughout the state. Figures from a survey recently re-cently conducted by the department de-partment show 85 department workmen are taking part in one phase or another of this important youth program. Of the 85 there are twenty-two twenty-two Scoutmasters, twenty-five committeemen, 34 serving as merit badge counselors, and four who are district leaders. The record also shows that four members of the department depart-ment have been honored with scouting's highest award, that of the Silver Beaver. Director Harold S. Crane said that all department members mem-bers are encouraged to work with the youth of the state. He noted this voluntary work with scouting was in addition to the department programs annually presented to schools and youth organizations on a continuing basis over the years. |
