Show : ' ; ; 4 i Faits Bien Club names officers Mrs. Cleo Heavener entertained enter-tained members of the Faits Bien Club with an interesting review of her recent trip around the world when the group met Thursday evening, vith Mrs. Nina Reid. The guest speaker showed a number of beautiful colored slides and exhibited souvenirs from the various countries isited. President Beverly Metcalf conducted the meeting and announced an-nounced the Mother's Day program pro-gram May 4, at a Spanish Fork cafe. New officers of the club for next year were announced as follows: Mrs. Janet Snelson, president; Mrs. Joan . Fox, vice president; Mrs. Glenda Osborn, secretary; Mrs. Elaine Hall, treasurer; Mrs. Carol Windley, program chairman; Mrs. Velma Taylor, project chairman. The hostess served a delicious deli-cious lunch at the close of the program. Mrs. Grant Callister of Fillmore, Fill-more, elected president of the Nebo First District Utah Federation of Women's Clubs at the spring convention in Spanish Fork, Saturday, when two Springville women, Mrs. Art Reid, as second vice president and Mrs. D. LaRell Johnson, as historian, also took office that day. The English and French have at long last agreed upon a plan for a tunnel under the English Channel, 162 years after af-ter the idea was first proposed. The target date for completion is 1970. |
