The Redmen dominated the meet, winning by the margin of 15-41. Scoring is done by adding the places of the top five finishers of each team. finishing second among runners from 3-A and 4-A schools. The cross country team competed in its second meet on Sept. 25 at the Murray Invitational. Runners from throughout the state competed in the event which saw Dix finish a disappointing 23rd place among 200 runners. The three-mile course at Murray Park consisted of grass, asphalt and mud. Due to weather conditions the course was very slippery and muddy, causing many to fall. According to this year's coach Bob Schexnayder," Schex-nayder," the team could have performed better had it not been for the rmirsp conditions." |
