Show Police arrest man following chase CEDAR CITY A high-speed chase through the east side of Cedar City ended Monday night with a Cedar City man in custody and charges pending of aggravated assualt. -.The .incident began 'when City officers were called to a residence in the South 300 block of 200 East where a young woman reported that an ex-boyfriend had reportedly rammed. lOOt) North Main Street and the suspect ran away on foot. As officers searched the area, Deputy John Williams located the suspect and took him into custody.- , ' Arrested was Michael Blake Jensen, 20, 455 Kayenta Circle. Jensen is currently in the Iron County Jail in lieu of a $6,750 bail. while in a Main "Street parking lot, the car of a man who she was speaking. The ex-boyfriend ex-boyfriend drove away after the collision. Shortly before 9 p.m. the suspect's pickup was located and when officers attempted to stop the truck, the man driving sped away. The chase progressed up and down 200 East as the suspect made a number of U-turns with speeds at one point exceeding 80 miles an hour. According to arresting officer Charles Bauer, at one point in the chase the suspect vehicle drove straight for and collided with a patrol car involved in the chase. As the pickup allegedly fled the area toward north Main Street, another patrol vehicle was reportedly forced off the road. Apparently the pickup truck eventually become stuck in a gully east of |
