Out-of-state and foreign students made a good academic showing last quarter at Southern Utah State College, college officials of-ficials say in releasing the fall quarter honor roll. "There were 148 students named to the honor roll fall quarter," said SUSC Registrar Ward SvRobb. "Of this number, 37 were from foreign countries and states other than Utah." Generally, Robb said, the majority of out-of-state students come from California, Nevada and Arizona. Some 20 honor roll students were from these states fall quarter, with other high academic achievers coming to SUSC . from North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, Minnesota, Washington', Idaho, New Mexico, Kentucky, Colorado, Georgia and Massachusetts. Still other honor roll students came from Canada, Mexico and Japan, he said. To be eligible for the SUSC honor roll, Robb explains, a student m must be enrolled full-time, taking 15 or more credit hours, and earn a Grade Point Average of 3.60 or above. A 4.00 GPA is a straight "A" average; a 3.60 GPA is approximately an "A-" average. "Of the 148 students on the honor roll, 21 earned perfect 'A' averages, Robb said. "It is interesting to note that all 21 of these students listed Utah communities as their hometowns." Students with 4.00 GPA's are listed below, alphabetically according to their hometowns.
