PULSIPHER Funeral services were held for Emily W. Pulsipher, 85, who died of causes incident in-cident to age at the Beaver Valley Hospital. Mrs. Pulsipher was born November, 9, 1891, Salt Lake City, to Robert and Emily Huerlimann Witmer. She married Henry Elias Pulsipher on August 17, 1907, Logan. The marriage was later solemized in the St. George LDS Temple. He proceeded pro-ceeded her in death on Dec. 26, 1935. Mrs. Pulsipher was a tinsmith. tin-smith. Sh made and helped install the first air condition -ing units in the community. She also took part as a visiting visit-ing teacher in the LDS Relief Re-lief Society for many years, and in addition took a particular par-ticular class of boy's throughout their primary classes. In 1951, she moved to St. George, where she did geneology and temple work for her family. Mrs. Pulsipher Pul-sipher took in washing, ironing iron-ing and mending throughout the area for many years, much of it without remuneration. remun-eration. Survivors: sons and daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. William (Anona) Canver, Manti; Robert William Wil-liam and Merrit(Dugan) both Sun Valley, Nevada; Ruth Lewis, Friant, California; June Ball and Mrs. Thomas (Frances) Himmler both Las Vegas, Nevada; Harold Elias, Santa Ana, California; three children, Henry, Mary and Joe all preceeded her in death; 18 grandchildren, 39 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and 13 great -great -grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 3, in the Beaver Bea-ver 2nd Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction direc-tion of Olpin Mortuary. WOBIWARI DAN ALTON SMITH Dan Alton Smith, age 72, died April 30, 1977 in the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital. He was born October Oc-tober 27, 1904, in Milford to Joseph Charles and Mary Jane Kirk Smith. Dan married mar-ried Lenore Grimshaw of Beaver, October 10, 1924, in Beaver. She died May 6, 1970. Dan, a lifetime resident of Milford, spent 30 years working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 1970. Between periods working for the railroad, he served as the Milford City Marshal for at least ten years. He has also served as watermaster for Milford. Mr. Smith was a member of the LDS Church. Surviviors: two brothers and one sister; Nathan E., George E. and Leah Pullem, all of Milford. Funeral services were held May 3, 1977 in the Milford Mil-ford 2nd Ward LDS Chapel and interment was in the Milford CityCemetery under direction of Metcalf Campbell Camp-bell Southern Utah Mortuary. BERT SWINDLEHURST Funeral services were held for Bert Swindlehurst, 81, Beaver, who died April 26, 1977, in the Beaver Valley Val-ley Hospital. Mr. Swindlehurst was born August 1, 1895, Beaver, to Edwin and Mary Jane Cart-wright Cart-wright Swindlehurst. He m arried Geneil Irons on June 9, 1920. They had three children. She died December 3, 1929. Mr. Swindlehurst then married Bertha Topham on June 28, 1933 in the St. George LDS Temple. She died May 26, 1954. Mr. Swindlehurst married Anona Wilson Smith in the Manti LDS Temple on February 4, 1955. Mr. Swindlehurst was a lifetime resident of Beaver. He owned and operated several sev-eral business in Beaver. He was part owner in a butcher shop for eight years. He operated op-erated the Beaver Mercantile for several years. Mr. Swindlehurst served in the Armed Forces during the First World War. He was wounded in the Mouse Argonne (France) offensive. Funeral services were Friday, April 29, 1977, in the Beaver Second Ward LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Bingham was born March 10, 1895, Minersville, to Edwin Florentine and Jane Stoddard Bingham. He married mar-ried Nina Gillins on February Feb-ruary 8, 1921, Beaver. Retired Re-tired as a custodian from the Milford Schools after working work-ing there for 43 years.
