Show 9 By Supt. Lynn Haslem i a Superintendent of Schools 5 An enthusiastic commendation commen-dation two teacher directors direc-tors many students willing support teachers and aides! Both of our high schools have just completed presentations presen-tations of two major musical productions "Oklahoma" at Milford High School and "Music Man" at Beaver High School. Patrons who missed the performances were denied de-nied an excellent cultural experience. ex-perience. Patrons who attended at-tended not only enjoyed fine cultural experiences, but also saw evidence that major performances are not the ex-, elusive territory of large schools only. True, some voices are not perhaps of "Metropolitan "Metropoli-tan Opera" stature, but the willingness and obvious good experience of participation development, enjoyment, appreciation of Fine Arts, public appearance experience exper-ience far overshadow whatever other difficulties were experienced. What a pleasure it is to watch and listen to students, particularly particu-larly who are experiencing their first effort at this sort of thing, and have them do so well. I believe their ongoing on-going recollection of these experiences will justify my assessment. For those participants who were previously quite skilled, skill-ed, this was an excellent opportunity for them to further fur-ther refine their abilities while we in the audience were uplifted by their talent. Where else could one find a similar opportunity equal to that in our small school settings for these kinds of opportunities some challenges chal-lenges for the directors, yes, but isn't it worth it! An enthusiastic "Thank You" to Mr. Lee and Mr. Moss, the Directors. Evidence Evi-dence was obvious student service instructional quality qual-ity teacher dedication community enrichment. |
