Show Golf, ujQfcr rules, dogs get attention Application for BOR (Bureau (Bu-reau of Recreation) funds to complete the Milford Golf Course was discussed again, and the Council decided they would like to talk with the Milford Golf Ass'n. before the application is submitted. A special meeting is called at 7:00 p.m. next Monday to meet with Ass'n. members. If the grant is received, the city has the obligation to complete the course and operate it. However, they do not assume any liability already incurred by the Golf Ass'n. There were many questions ques-tions about watering regulations. regula-tions. Lee Scheldeman requested re-quested that the Seventh -day A dventlst Church be allowed to water on Monday, Wednesday Wed-nesday and Friday, so watering water-ing would not interfere with their Sabbath. Other questions arose over whether residents were allowed al-lowed to wash cars on Sunday, Sun-day, the need for watering days and hours, and whether the present pumps were operating op-erating at peak efficiency. It was felt that the pumping pump-ing was as efficient as in past years. The problem arises from the fact that with the increased volume and pressure, pres-sure, people need to be educated edu-cated to the fact they now could water in much less time. If everybody irrigated as in previous years, much more water would be used, and the pumps would not be able to keep up, and there is not adequate storage capacity. ca-pacity. It's springtime and it's expected that the problem will again take care of itself as the dog days of summer approach. In the meantime control your dog, or be prepared to go before the judge and pay for any dam -ages your dog commits. Enoch Swain asked that the city get the water on the Historical Park before all the shrubs and plantings of last year are lost. He reaffirmed re-affirmed that the city would assume the watering obligation obliga-tion this year. He said the Historical Society So-ciety has plans to plant more trees and ground cover. It was discovered most businesses were not aware of the plans and the request should carry the sanction of the Ass'n. A letter from Bob Wright told of the services perform -ed by the Railroad Credit Union over the past 25 years. The letter requested the support sup-port of the Council in opening open-ing its services to the Milford Mil-ford area. Full support was given.
