Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Wood spent two days in Mid-vale, Mid-vale, Utah visiting Mrs. Aletha Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Terry and fam -ily. Aletha returned home with them. Everyone in Minersville Min-ersville is happy to have Aletha home. The DUP met Tuesday at the home of Virgene Jameson. Jame-son. Mary Beth Bailey gave the lesson, entitled "Historical "Histor-ical Markers". Those present pres-ent were: Carol Lemon, Pauline Wood, Be mice Ashley, Ash-ley, Virgene Jameson,Madge Carter, Mary Beth Bailey, and Effie Jameson. Delicious Strawberry shortcake was served after the lesson. Mrs. Lola Bonn is going to Los Angeles for the wedding wed-ding of her grandson, Mel-vis Mel-vis Bonn , son of Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bonn of Las Vegas. She will then go to Oregon for a month's stay with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leland (LaRue) Jones. On Sunday, President Van Tassell visited with the members of the Minersville Ward. Visiting over the weekend at the home of Skip and Linda Thompson were Linda's parents. par-ents. Verna and Clinton Thompson Thomp-son visited in Salt Lake last week. They went for a checkup check-up with Clinton's doctor. Clinton is doing quite well now, but Verna will be confined con-fined to bed for two weeks. Their daughter, Lois Paice, is here to help them . Mr. andMrs. Darwin Marshall Mar-shall and Mr.andMrs. Ruben Eyre spent the weekend in St. George visiting with relatives rel-atives and enjoying the horse races. Barbara (Marshall) Mes-singer Mes-singer of Cedar City was seriously injured Saturday when the ladder she was standing on fell with her. She is in the Cedar hospital. Her mother, Effie Marshall, and sister, Phyllis Truman, visited with her and her family fam-ily on Sunday. Lylia Truman is spending a few weeks visiting her parents, par-ents, Phyllis and Karl Truman. Tru-man. Lylia has been away attending school. Jody Eyre visited with her parents, James and RaNea Eyre. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Craw are the proud parents of a baby boy born last week at the Milford hospital. Grandparents Grand-parents ar e Mr. and Mrs. Jim Craw of Minersville and Mr. andMrs. Ron Rose of Milford. Pat Dotson will be taken to St. George for medical treatment for a back injury. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hes-lington Hes-lington are home from Salt Lake where A If has been for medical attention. Howard and Gwen Pryor traveled to Reno over the weekend to attend the wedding of their son, David. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Bradfield are home from spending almost a month in Salt Lake. Truman was there for medical purposes. He is feeling much better now and everyone is happy to have him home. Kallie Anderson, Colleen Truman and Kay lene Eyre attended Vocational Day at SUSC last week. They went to represent the homemak-ing homemak-ing department. Tim and Margie Marshall and Ralph and Marilyn Wal-beck Wal-beck enjoyed cooking last Saturday night at the Minersville Miners-ville Reservoir. The Minersville Ladies Ball Team has been practicing practic-ing for two weeks. About 18 women have signed up to play. They have a busy season ahead of them and all Miners -vllle wishes them lots of luck. MINERSVILLE WARD FAST AND TESTIMONY MEETING The Minersville Ward Fast and Testimony Meeting was held Sunday at 11:45 a.m. Counselor Ty Gillins conducted. con-ducted. Reva Williams and Eleanore Marshall furnished furnish-ed the music. Three beautiful babies were blessed. They were the infants of Heber and Kathy Davis, Calvin and Debra Hutchings, and Kent and Mary Fae Marshall. Many fine testimonies were given. Prayers were by Billy Davis and Delbert Jameson. |
