Construction Con-struction of this phase will be done in conjunction with Voters in Beaver City will go to the polls on Tuesday, February 8th, to decide whether to authorize Water Revenue Bonds in the amount of $350,000. The interest-free Water Resource bonds will be used to construct a one million gallon water storage tank, and new transmission and distribution lines. The bonds will be repaid over a 15-year period with all payments applied ap-plied to the principal. The improvements are expected ex-pected to eliminate trouble spots In the present system, as well as provide adequate storage for present needs and future growth. Most important is the re- resurfaclng of the Beaver Main Street, which will be done this summer by the Utah Highway Dept. A new 12 -inch line will be constructed from the new water tank to Main Street. Fire hydrants are planned every 500 feet inside the city limits, with hydrants outside the city limits being installed by the property owners if desired, but at their expense. No raise in water rates is anticipated. A favorable majority ma-jority is needed February 8th- for authorization to sell $332,000 interest-free bonds. Beaver City will have to come up with matchingfunds of $22,000 on the $350,000 project. |
