Show their wedding anniversary. A lovely dinner was prepared pre-pared for the party Saturday, March 30 at the Ponderosa Cafe In Beaver. Sunday Bill and Colleen Johnson and Carl and Kaye Briscoe entertained en-tertained at Bill and Colleens Col-leens with a turkey dinner. Here to enjoy the weekend were cousins, Lane and Angela An-gela Suter, pheonix, Ariz., Bob and Doris Baker, Cambridge, Cam-bridge, Idaho, Jean Auzenne ' and Denise, Ricky and Sally Shields and son Shaun, Hemet, Calif, Bill and Colleen Col-leen Johnson Brenda and Benjie, Carl and Kaye Briscoe, Bris-coe, Nina and Darrin, and Mrs. Clyde (Vickie) Briscoe Bris-coe and Judi. Clyde who is stationed in Germany and Betty Leeper living in Alabama Ala-bama were unable to be here but sent their congratulations. attend funeral services for Mr. Edward Roth, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Bealer. Rev. Jim Sloan conducted the funeral services. ser-vices. Ben and Judy Briscoe were pleasantly surprised last weekend when their children child-ren and cousins of Ben from Pheonix, Arizona came to help them celebrate Kerry Lynn Jury and boys Ronnie, Jeffrey, and Jason of Elko, Nev. were here to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Rose and family. fami-ly. While here she attended the Junior Prom. Also visiting vis-iting were Rick and Kathy Rose and daughter Kelly of Salt Lake City. They attended the Junior Prom of his sister Debbie and her brother Brian Hanley. While here they were guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hanley. They also visited grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Wlrs. Harry Har-ry Rose and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Klllam. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Hollingshead was In Panaca, Nevada last week to the funeral fun-eral for a nephew, Bruce Wadsworth. They are now in Tooele, Utah visiting with family. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Banks have made several trips to Ely, Nev. to take Brent Solomon Solo-mon to work at kennecott. Olive Root went to Salt Lake City with Isabelle and Veda Cox to spend several days. Mrs. Laura Jimerson has returned home after an extensive ex-tensive trip. She traveled 15 days from New York to New York. Her group first visited Rome, where she was in the Pope's audience once. They went next to Jerusalem Jerusa-lem and onto various places In Israel where they visited ancient churches by bus and on foot. Here she learned all about the reference in the Bible, where our Lord told that a camel could go through- the eye of a needle easier than a rich man could go to heaven. The "needle eye" referred to was a low doorway which a man had to duck low and step over a plank to enter, thus making mak-ing it a little difficult to enter. A camel could manage to go through if he had no pack on and was on his knees. They visited Jacobs well and Mohamedum Mosque, Mos-que, which has astounding layers of glass and lighting. In this they were required to remove their shoes before be-fore entering. In the early mornings they listened to the Moslem's early call for prayer. They faced the Mecca while they prayed. They visited Athens, Greece and veiwed the scenery, including in-cluding the churches and colosseum. Roger and Shanda Hair of Orem, Utah visited here with Roger's uncle and aunt, Hamp and Beniti Burke Sunday Sun-day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Carr Wiseman, Wise-man, Mr. and Mrs. George Bush and Beniti Burke were In Salt Lake City Friday to |
