TO STUDY DIST. HEALTH NEEDS Neal F. Christensen, Executive Ex-ecutive Director of the Five County Association ofGov-ernments, ofGov-ernments, today announced that an assessment of health facilities and services in District Five (Washington, Iron, Beaver, Garfield and Kane Counties ) has been commenced by the Association, Associ-ation, with the support of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the University of Utah School of Medicine and the cooperation of the Inter -mountain Regional Medical Program. The goal of this assessment is the identification identi-fication of problems and the description of alternative alterna-tive ways in which these problems can be solved using existing and future health resources. The assessment as-sessment will rely heavily upon existing studies and will commence analysis only on-ly in those areas which have not been described adequately ade-quately in previous efforts. These data will be combined with observations gained through extensive personal contact and interviews with consumers and professionals profession-als to form a set of , recommendations re-commendations which will be presented to a special task force of the . Health and Social Services Council of the Five County Association Associ-ation of Governments. The task force will provide for maximum community input to the assessment team and thus assure relevance of results. Paul Lunt, D. D. S., Cedar City, will serve as chairman of the task force.
