Show Salt Lake Were in ' Milford over the Labor Day holiday at the home of parents Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beard and Mr. and Mrs. nRn Rollins. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hardy and new baby were in Milford over the week end attending the wedding of his brother Wayne and Luciel Ferguson. Sunday the Hardy couple, accompanied ac-companied by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy, motored mo-tored to Pioche to be present at the christening of young Dale Harold Hardy. Mrs. Alta Hodges, mother of Mrs. Kenneth Friar, is now in Monahanas, Texas. Mrs. Hodges, who had spent the past year at the Friar home, will now stay with another daughter, Mrs. Jean Cope, who drove up from Texas to get her mother. She was accompanied accom-panied by her mother in law, Mrs. Pat King. Personal Mention c Mr- and Mrs. W. M. Ash-worth Ash-worth have returned from An-nandale, An-nandale, Va., after a month of visiting and getting acquainted with a new granddaughter. Mr. and Mrs. Monty R. Ashworth, son and daughter in law of the William Ashworths, are the proud parents of the new baby, Lauri Patrica. This makes three daughters for the Monty Ashworths. S Mr. and Mrs. William Ashworth Ash-worth were in Salt Lake on business and shopping, Friday, Sept. 8. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Wnnani Ashworth Ash-worth motored to Cedar City on Labor Day to visit their son in law and daughter and family. 0 Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Ingram of Los Angeles visited Mrs. Ingram's mother, Mrs. Maggie Rogers. Other visitors at the . home of Mrs. Rogers have been her granddaughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Muggleston of Salt Lake, and a son and daughter in law, Jay and Hazel Rogers. 0 George and Gladys Bush spent the Labor Day week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Burke and other friends. L. A. (Bert) Wynaught has returned to his home in Milford Mil-ford after an extended visit in New London, Conn. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith and baby daughter of Salt Lake were here this week calling on friends and seeing their son Fred, who is staying at the Dan Rollins home while attending school here this winter. win-ter. Mr. Smith is a geologist and they lived here for a year in the former Homer Christen sen home. 0 Marine Pfc Clyde C. Briscoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben C. Briscoe, is aboard the USS Breckenridge with the Third Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment, Regi-ment, en route to Okinawa where he will be stationed for 12 months. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Larson and daughter Joan of Provo spent part of their vacation in Milford with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Holland. 0 Mrs. Edith Osborn observed her 87th birth anniversary Sept. 7th. The occasion was spent quietly with her family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund S. Smith and son Johnnie of Manhattan Beach, Calif., spent the week end at the home of his father, E. L. Smith. They were en route to Portland, Ore., for a vacation trip. Mrs. Neva Kinross left Thursday for Detroit, Mich., to visit her son in law and daughter, John and Betty Taylor. Tay-lor. Mrs. Taylor has been ill. A brother of Ken Friar, Fid and family of Phoenix, Ariz., were here for several days at the Friar home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones and family of Springville, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker of Cedar City and the brother of Mrs. Owen Stoker, Mr; and Mrs. Leo Stewart and five - children of Pioche, were all here to see Owen Stoker while he was confined to the Beaver County Hospital after a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Thomas Thom-as and children of Temple City, Calif., were at the home of his sister and family Mr and Mrs. Cecil Killam. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Al-brccht Al-brccht and family are moving back to Milford. They have been living in Norwalk, Cal. The following children of Mrs. Nettie Kirk are here while she is confined to the Beaver County Hospital: Bryant Bry-ant and Maxine Roberts and Douglas Kirk of Van Nuys Calif.; Mrs. Katherine Shannon Shan-non and son John of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Mrs. Elaine Martin Mar-tin of Scpulveda, and Jack and Joy Kirk and sons Don and Eugene of Reseda, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hickman. Hick-man. Alan (D"olly") Carter, who has been a patient in the Veterans Vet-erans Hospital at Salt Lake for the past two years, is now at his home in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Clay and children, Johnnie and Marian of Logan, were here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie G. Clay Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jac-obsen Jac-obsen of Salt Lake, Curtis Jacobsen and Mrs. Warren Slater of Pleasant Grove, nephews and niece of Rudolph Nielsen, were guests at the Nielsen home over the week end. The group visited Bryce and Zion Canyons Saturday, and drove to Lehman Caves Sunday for an outdoor T-Bone steak fry and a tour of the cave. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Weston, Wes-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline and Mr. and Mrs. Joe C. Elliott El-liott have returned from the Union Pacific Old Timers annual an-nual trip. One hundred and nineteen members were in the group. Points of interest visited vis-ited on the tour included the Great Lakes, Chicago, Detroit, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, etc. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Munk spent a week in Escalante and Boulder. They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Avey in Escalante, and while there enjoyed the Labor Day celebration. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schow of Bellingham, Wash., met in Milford with Mr. Schow's relatives, Mrs. Marie Lewis, Mrs. Harriet Tanner, Mrs. Clara Whittaker and Mrs. Mary Crookston at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Powell Smyth. They all left Milford and gathered in Las Vegas at the home of Mrs. Crookston, where another family get-together was enjoyed. The ladies la-dies returned to their home in California and Mr. and Mrs. Schow, who were on vacation, also motored to California. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer recently re-cently were in Salt Lake and en route home stopped at the home of their son and family to see Lesa Joy, a new granddaughter grand-daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Gael Elmer. Bishop and Mrs. Charles Terry and family spent the Labor Day Holiday in Springville Spring-ville calling on relatives. 0 . Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams, Wil-liams, Sallie and Stephen Jr. were in Salt Lake last week end on business. 0 Vance and Luella Fisher were in Milford to get their household belongings.
