Show Mrs. Bell Bakes Dies at Age of 90 Mary Isabell Fotheringham Bakes, 90, died in the Beaver County Hospital of natural causes at 1 a. m. Monday, Sept. 11. She was born June 4, 1871, in Beaver, to William and Mary Wardrobe Fotheringham. She married Joseph H. Bakes June 10, 1895, in Beaver, and the marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the St. George LDS Temple. She had been active in the Rebekah Lodge, DUP, LDS Auxiliaries, and various clubs. She also sang in the quoir. ' She was the mother of five children, two of whom survive- Mrs. Ed (Lucille) Murdock Mur-dock and William V. Bakes, both of Beaver. Also surviving surviv-ing are nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Kight-linger Kight-linger of Salt Lake; Mrs. Hat-tie Hat-tie Tanner and Mrs. Clara Whittaker of California. |
