Show MILFORD HOSPITAL NEARS REALITY Construction of a new hospital hos-pital for Western Beaver County moved closer Wednesday Wednes-day evening when trustees of Beaver County Service Area No. 2 (the Milford-Minersville Hospital Service Area) and representatives of the Continental Conti-nental Bank & Trust Co. and Lincoln Urie & Co. of Salt Lake met, and reached an agreement for handling the bond election for the service area, and a commitment for purchase of the bonds. The trustees are asking approval ap-proval by property owners in the area of a $160,000 bond issue for construction of the new hospital, to be repaid with a 4-mill levy over a per- iod of 20 years. As an example of the cost to residents, taxes on the Warren War-ren Johnson home would be increased $12 per year; on the W. R. Davis home, $8 per year; on the John Grimshaw home, $3 per year. The utilities of the area, ( Union Pacific, Tel-luride, Tel-luride, Mountain States, and AT&T) based on present valuations, valu-ations, would pay 46 of the cost. With local funds of $160,000 matched by Hill-Burton funds, about $285,000 will be available avail-able to construct and equip the hospital-rest home. |
