Briggs of Beaver will honor their parents with an open house on their Golden Wedding Anniversary, at their home in Beaver, Sunday, Sept. 18. Friends and relatives are invited in-vited to call during the after r noon. Mr. and Mrs. Briggs request re-quest no gifts. Mr. Briggs was born Jan.. 18, 1887, in Beaver, to Joseph and Mary Briggs. Mrs. Briggs was born in Beaver, Beav-er, Aug. 26, 1892, to James and Martha Hoopes. They were married in Beaver in 1910.- In 1918 the marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. ' They have eight children, Mrs. Alton (Lenora) Swindlehurst, of Beaver; Mrs. Clark (Alverta) Goodwin, Milford; Mrs. Robert ( Melba ) Johnson, and Carl Briggs, Las Vegas; . Mrs. Clifford (Zola) Halsey, Cedar City; Lamar La-mar Briggs, Henderson, Nev.; Mr.s Junior (Ila Mae) Rigby, Blaning, Mont, and Mrs. Jerry (Lois) Atkin, Centerville. They also have 15 grandchildren grandchil-dren and five great-grandchildren. |
