Show J Unsold Special Permits Available in Beaver Carrying out an agreement with Utah Department of Fish & Game, effected a few weeks ago on the protest of Beaver and Millard County civic groups and sportsmen, several hundred special deer permits per-mits for Beaver areas remaining unsold on September 1 are being made available for sale in Beaver, as has been done in the past. This is the good word coming from Hal Lund, president of Beaver Wildlife Club. The September deadline passed without the 1960 allotments of special spe-cial permits being sold at the Cedar City district office, thus making a j drawing unnecessary. Since the proclamation provided for sales to continue being made at the district office after the drawing deadline, that office still will participate in sale of remaining permits alloted, but sales will continue in Beaver as long as in Cedar City. According to Mr. Lund, approximately ap-proximately 500 permits for the Mineral Mountain unit will be available on the above plan; also 400 on the Beaver North unit and 250 on the Beaver South unit. These will be available on a first come-first served basis until the allotments are exhausted. Through the courtesy of the Beaver Bea-ver County Board of Commissioners, Commission-ers, arrangements are being made whereby Mrs. Dora McMullin, general gen-eral deputy, will handle the sale of these remaining permits at the courthouse, with further details yet to be worked out. |
