Show COMMISSIONERS HIRE ARCHITECT FOR MILFORD HOSPITAL AREA The Beaver County Board of Commissioners met in regular session ses-sion Monday with all members and County Clerk Smith present. Ashley T. Carpenter of Carpenter Carpen-ter & Stringham, architects, met with the board, seeking to be employed em-ployed as architect for the Beaver County Service Area No. 2 (Mil- i ford) Hospital. He agreed to han- I die all matters prior to a bond elec- , tion for $500.00 should the bond election fail. If the bond election I passes and the Milford Hospital is j constructed, his fee then would be at the regular rate of 6 of the cost. It was moved, seconded, and ' passed unanimously that Mr. Car- I penter be employed under afore- said arrangement. Representatives of the Beaver s County Agent, Farmers Home Ad- ministration, and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conserva tion Commission requested that Beaver County write the governor and request re-quest that Beaver County be declared de-clared a drought emergency area. Board agreed to do so and asked clerk to prepare such a letter for the chairman of the board to sign. In order to pay Beaver County's share committed to the Five County Coun-ty Organization for advertising "Indian Summer Days" and for a Mental Health Guidance Clinic, it was moved, seconded, and passed mrb,- that appropriate action be taken to advertise a budget hearing for the purpose of increasing the 1960 budget to provide an additional $400 for exhibits and advertising, and an additional $400 for County Health Department. Minersville Pauline Wood, Rachel Ra-chel Eyre, and Alta Kelsey. Milford No. 1 Zella Whiteside, Mrs. Max Baxter, and Dora Walker. Milford No. 2 Maud L. Crane, O. C. Koch, and Mrs. T. W. Jones.
