He returned re-turned Friday to Georgia where he will be stationed for several months. Mr. and Mrs. George Robinson Robin-son and family have been visiting vis-iting over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson of Tooele visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn. Keith Gillins celebrated his Gixth birthday with a party on Monday. His mother served refreshments re-freshments to 12 guests, after which he opened his many lovely presents. Mr. and Mrs. Burnell McAffee and children of Payson visited Mrs. Chloe Davis over the week end. Mrs. Edna Crosby, Mrs. Joe Paine and Keith Halterman were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gillins. Mrs. Jack Craw and children attended the Little field family reunion held in Ponderosa Park Sunday afternoon and evening, e New Primary officers, who, began their duties Wednesday, are Mrs. Yvonne Murdock, president, pres-ident, and Mrs. Ranee Davis and Mrs. Leola Gillins, counselors. Friday night a shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daisel Davis, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Messinger, who were married that day at the home of an uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Messinger of Beaver. Beav-er. Bruce is a son of Mr. and' Mrs. Ray Messinger of California. Cali-fornia. Thirty-five guests attended, and at the shower Burn the House Down was played. Mrs. Bruce Messinger and Mrs. Max-ine Max-ine Horton won the ladies' prizes. Prizes for the men went to Lee Marshall and Howard Marshall. A lovely plate lunch was served. Marion Gillins was confined to the Milford Hospital from Tuesday until Friday last week with pneumonia. Karl Murdock has been hero visiting his mother, Mrs. Cassie McKnight. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Evans of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith of Nevada! and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans of Milford gathered with the rest of the family at the home of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arshal Evans to enjoy a family dinner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tex Richardson will be living in this vicinity, with Mr. Richardson employed at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Cor-bridge Cor-bridge of Cedar City visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Corbridge, last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thompson Thomp-son of Salt Lake visited here over the Labor Day week end. Many Minersville people enjoyed en-joyed the races at Parowan on Saturday and at Milford on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Paxton Lock-hart Lock-hart visited their grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Eyre, and other relatives rel-atives over the Labor Day week end- On Monday afternoon they enjoyed dinner and fishing in Beaver Canyon. Family members mem-bers attending were Mrs. Nellie Eyre, Mr. and Mrs. William Wunderlich, Mr. and Mrs. Gar-old Gar-old Eyre, and Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Eyre and .family were overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murdock. Saturday they left for Las Vegas to visit Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Eyre. Mrs. Roy Goodwin of Ely, Nev., and Mrs. Elmo White of California were here to visit their mother, Mrs. Polly Baker. Mr. and Mrs Ear Horton have moved from Milford into the Truman Brad'field basement apartment. Mrs. Horton will teach school here this year. Many Minersville residents attended the variety show held in Beaver Monday evening. Talent Tal-ent from Minersville participating partici-pating included David Williams, Jean and Joan Eyre. Mrs. Lucy Williams was host at a family dinner after her new granddaughter was blessed Sunday. Attending were the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter; Car-ter; Mr. and Mrs. Don Hesling-toir Hesling-toir of Salt Lake, David Williams, Wil-liams, and Miss Sharon Cusick- Lester Roberts of Oregon and Mrs. Carlie Anderson of Nevada returned to their homes Monday after visiting Mrs. Elinore Marshall Mar-shall and family in Minersville. A chicken supper was enjoyed en-joyed at Big Maple Sunday evening eve-ning by Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, Wil-liams, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall, Mar-shall, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Mar. shall and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Williams Wil-liams are living in Beaver, where they will both teach school this year. , Hugh Blackburn visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn, over the week end. He is employed in Elko, Nev., by Standard Stations. Babies blessed in Fast and Testimony meeting Sunday included in-cluded Thomas Craw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Craw; Windy Lee Gillins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gillins; Lucie Kayleen Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter; and Bradley K. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlan Carter. Opening party for the MIA was held Tuesday night on the |
