Show MILFORD Personal Mention New residents of Milford are Mr. and Mrs. Stephen W. Rose and daughter Deon, formerly of Salt Lake City. Both Mr. and Mrs. Rose are employed by the Webert Heating Co. They have purchased the Lane Frazier home. Mrs. Bud Williams and two children of Las Vegas and Mrs. Richard Varley and two children chil-dren of Salt Lake are here for a week's visit with melr parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Myers. Loy and Ethel Wheeler have moved to Fontana, Calif., where Mr. Whteler is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Kirk returned Thursday from a 10-day 10-day vacation. They were guests in Portland, Ore., of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Peterson. Mrs. Helen Banks and two children were in Salt Lake for a week visiting relatives. A friend, Mrs. Les Howick, and two children accompanied them to Milford to spend a week. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Banks were Mr. Banks' sister, Mrs. Donna Pat-oray Pat-oray and two children of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Banks and children spent a week in Salt Lake Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch left Wednesday for an extended vacation va-cation trip to include Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan, where they will visit relatives and old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whiteside arrived home the first of the week from Moab, where they were called because of the death of Mrs. Whiteside's father, John E. Pace. Mr. Pace had often visited at the Whiteside home and had many friends in Milford. Miss Waunice Klein left Saturday Sat-urday for her home in Berkeley, Calif., alter spending the summer sum-mer in Milford with her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stoker spent the Labor Day holidays in Springville, where they vis-' ited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones, and in Salt Lake, where they met Mrs. Maude Stoker, who had been in Boise visiting her son Bill and in McCall, Idaho, with a brother, Ray Feredy. She returned to Milford with Owen and Billie. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lloyd &nd family of Price spent last Sunday and Monday at the home of Mr. Lloyd's brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Munk. Mrs. S. K. Munk and sons Kenneth and Donald, and Sonja Soleman spent five days in Price and Helper. They attended attend-ed a wedding reception in Helper Help-er Friday for a niece o'f Mrs. Munk. Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson of Tooele were at the home of Mr. Thompson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, over the Labor Day holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Archer and daughter Jolaine of Ft. Collins, Col-lins, Colo., were in Milford last week end greeting old friends. They were entertained in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. j Virgil Boucher and Mr. and i Mrs. Harold Cline. Their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Casterline of Salt Lake, were here to be with them during their stay in Milford. Mil-ford. , . , Elsie Davenport o'f Carlsbad, Calif., spent her vacation in Milford at the home of her brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Martin. Whlie here the group, accompanied accompa-nied by Mickey Ferguson, spent few days at Puffers Lake. Mrs. Davenport left for her home after vacationing here for two weeks Mr. and Mrs. Don Penfield and family of Phoenix, Ariz., were in Milford for two weeks at the; home of Mrs. Penfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. Wad- I doups. ' Mr. and Mrs. Dick Foerster and daughter Joyce of Bountiful Bounti-ful were here on Labor Day. A 10-day vacation trip ended for Mr. and Mrs. G. E. McGinn and three children when they returned to Milford last Thursday. Thurs-day. The McGinns enjoyed a trip to the West Coast and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gillies and a brother of Mrs. Gillies, Ed Yepson at Imperial Beach; the Van Naillons at Puente, and with Mr. and Mrs. Bud 1 James at Fontana. Before leaving leav-ing California the McGinns enjoyed en-joyed an interesting trip to Tia Juana, Mexico. Bid McGinn of Hollywood, Calif., has been a visitor at the home of his brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. McGinn. Mc-Ginn. Neloiuse Schow has enrolled at the Milford High School, to earn needed credits for a high school diploma. Mr. and Mrs. William Ash-worth Ash-worth and Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Coon will leave this week for a 30-day trip through the eastern states via the southern route to the East Coast. After visiting Monty and Patricia Ashworth in Washington, D. C, and other relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Coon in Puxatawney, Pa., they will return by way of New York, Boston and Niagara Falls. Capt. and Mrs. Paul M. Crosby and son John of Fort Knox, Ky., arrived in Milford Aug. 19 to visit Mrs. Crosby's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Pitchforth, and join their two other children, chil-dren, Paul Stephen and Linda, who have been staying with their grandparents. On Aug. 21 the Crosbys left for St. George to visit Capt. Crosby's brothers and twin sisters, and accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Pitchforth they enjoyed a family fam-ily dinner in Salt Lake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Pitchforth Jr., also attended by Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pitchforth and three children of Granger, Wyo., and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood and baby of Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beard will visit Mrs. Beard's relatives in Iowa and Wisconsin when they leave on a vacation trip the middle of September. Her father, fath-er, Emil Christiansen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, will return with them for a visit in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Craig of Maquoketa, Iowa, were in Milford Mil-ford for 10 days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beard. . George Boss of Chicago spent a few days in Milford at the : home of his fiance, Ruth Cline, before returning to the University Univer-sity of Utah to begin training for his position at quarterback on the Ute football team. Hood and Portland, Ore ; Lake Louise and Banff, in British Brit-ish Columbia, and returned home by way of Glacier National Na-tional Park and Idaho.
