Show News Of Your Neighbors In SOUTH MILFORD ' By Georgia Beth Smith (Held over from last week) Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mapes of South Gate, Calif., spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Theman Walker. Wal-ker. Mrs. Mapes is the former Hilda (Tillie) Thompson of Milford. Mrs. John Martinez and two children are spending their vacation va-cation with Mr. and Mrs. Jess McKnight and family. Mrs. Martinez is a sister of Mrs. McKnight. Mc-Knight. Mrs. Maurine Yardley acted as hostess at a bundle shower given Aug. 28th for her sister, Mrs. LaRae Stewart. A variety of games were played, after which refreshments were served. serv-ed. Mr. and Mrs. Esamu Yumari of Culver City, Calif., motored to South Milford last week to bring their nephew, Donald Naruse, who had spent the summer sum-mer with them and attending summer school. Mrs. Joan McKnight and daughter traveled to Minersville Miners-ville last Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Vance Marshall. Mrs. Russell Mayer and daughter motored to Cedar City Wednesday and spent the day shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Gillins and family spent two, days last week attending to business in Logandale, Nev. Mrs. Margaret Puffer traveled to Idaho Falls wast week with Mr. and Mrs. Laban Burt and Miss Eva Powell of Beaver to attend a wedding reception. En route home! they spent a few days in Afton, Wyo. Mrs. Alta Sly and son Dee and Mrs. Esther Rollins and family attended a school of instruction on the school lunch program in Cedar City last Monday. Mrs. George E. Smith and daughter motored to Cedar City last Tuesday, on business. Mrs. Smith and Marsha saw "The Ten Commandments" while Jennie Sue and Georgia attended a kitchen shower for a friend. |
