Show STATE LAND NOTICE. United States Land Office. Salt Lake City, Utah, January 29, 15)00. To whom it may concern : Notice is hereby priveu that the Slate of Utah has filed in this office a list, No. 2i, of lands selected by the said State for the establishment establish-ment and maintenance of a Reform School, under Sec. li of the Act of Congress approved July 16, 189-1. The following; Li-acts, embraced in said list, are in a township containing mineral claims of record: The lot number six (0), of Section seven (7), in Township forty-one (II), south, and Range thirteen (13), west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Meri-dian. A copy of said list, so far as it relates to said tracts, by descriptive subdivisions, has been conspicuously posted in this ollicc, for inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and by the public pub-lic p-enei-ally. Durintr the sixty days next following the date of this notice, under departmental instructions of Nov. 27, 181)0 ( -J3 L. D., J.V.I), protests or contests con-tests njrainst the claim of the State to any of the tracts or subdivisions hereinabove ' described, de-scribed, on the ground that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted for report to the General Laud Olrice at Washington, D. C. Failure so to protest or contest within the period specified will be considered sufficient evidence of the non-mlueral character of said tracts, and the selection thereof, beiuc otherwise other-wise free from objection, will be recommended for approval.
