Show OVEJ5TOX. Miss Ella Jones has gone to Bunkerville Bunker-ville on a visit. We have five missionaries abroad preaching the Gospel. District schools will close on the 23rd inst., having run six months. Everything crowing nicely; sweet potato plants are ready for replantino- Moses W. Gibson of St. Thomas has been quite bad for about three weeks with neuralgia. Our little valley is looking fins now. Weather is beautiful, in fact we have had summer all winter. Ute W. Perkins left for Rioville today, to-day, the 20th inst., to do assessment work on mines for Daniel Bonelli. Bishop Jones returned on, the 15th from Stake conference at St. George, and gave quite an account of the conference. con-ference. Young Granger, formerly a resident of Toquervillc, passed thru here with others recently enroute to Idaho from Arizona. Harry Gentry's wife presented him with a bouncing boy, now a week old. Mother and son doing well, and Harry all smiles. The Washington County News comes along in due time for which we are glad, as we are all anxious to get it. We all think it a good newspaper and wish it success. J. S. Huntsman and J, T. Dotson, of Logan, have gone to their mines, northwest north-west of Gunlock, to do development work. They think they will sell one group soon; they are offered $15,000 for it. The ore from the other group runs $170 per ton in gold and silver. That, I think, is worth staying with for a while. |
