Leavitt j Reporter j A welcome home dance was held in the ward hall Saturday evening honoring Marion Bowler and Arvel I.eavitt, who have their! discharges from the army and for Sgt. Truman Bowler who was home on a ten day furlough. J Lt. and Mrs. Raphael Leavitt entertained at a party and lurch-eon lurch-eon Saturday evening following the dance. Guests were the serv-1 ivemen and their wives. ' Mr. and Mrs. Vern Leavitt and: Mr. and Mrs. Rex Leavitt and, Arvel Leavitt spent Friday visit-1 ing friends in Virgin and Saturday with relatives in Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Bowler and Sgt. and Mrs. Truman Bowler visited Sunday with relatives in Mesquite. Sgt. Bowler returned Wednesday to his post at Rapid City, N. D. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Abbott and Harry Bowler were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Bowler. Jacob Jones spent Saturday at Cedar City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Miller of Los Angeles are spending the holidays here with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bowler. Christmas day was marked with a round of celebrating. All of the married folk had breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Holt. A noon Christmas program pro-gram was held in the ward hall, followed by . horse racing in the afternoon and a dance in the evening. Santa Claus visited the school and primary programs over the week end, distributing gifts to all of the children. |
