Show Lt. CoL Howard Cannon Miss Dorothy Pace "Wed A holiday season marriage of keen local interest was that 'Of Miss Dorothy Pace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Pace of Alamo, Nw., and Lt. Col. Howard W. Cannon, -son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cannon of St. George. The couple took their vows Friday evening, Dec. 21 art the home of Judge and Mrs. Clifford A. Jonets in Las Vegas, the judge a close . friend of Col. Cannon, reading the ceremony. The bride was smartly dressed in gray wool with silver fox accessories ac-cessories and orchid corsage- Her maid of honor was Miss Shirleigh Laniey of Los Angele-ts. Accompanying the bride to Las Vegas for the marriage were her parents and sister, Sidney Pace of Alamo and a neice, Miss Kath-ryn Kath-ryn Pace of Los Angeles. Flying west from Camp Maxton, N. C. with Lt. Cannon for the ceremony were his commanding officer Col. Frank M. Kreb and Lt. Floyd Nixon of Salt Lake City, and members of his crew, Col Creb was Lt Cannon's companion com-panion for 41 days of underground when their plane was shot down in Holland, and was best man for the ceremony. Also with the group for the marriage were the groom's parents and sisters, Mrs. George Jay and Mrs. Don Carlos Schmutz of St. George. Following the ceremony a buffet lunch was served at the Jones home with Mrs. Clifford Jones and Mrs. B. M. Jones as hostesses. Other guests included Miss Florence Flor-ence Lee Jones, Mrs. C. A. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Buck Blaine and Captain Herbert Jones. The couple are visiting in St. George until Friday and will then leave for Los Angeles where Col. Cannon will take a plane back to Camp Maxton, |
