Show SERVICES HONOR MRS. LAURA BRINGHURST TOQUERVILLE, Utah. Tribute Trib-ute was paid to Mrs. Laura Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, 71, at funeral services held in the Toquerville ward chapel Thursday Dec. 20, with Bp. Le-Grande Le-Grande Spilsbury conducting. j Music numbers were "Come Home" and "Peace I Leave With Thee" by the ladies chorus directed dir-ected by Erma Bringhurst; solo, "In The Garden of Tomorrow", Mrs. Ruth Hardy; violin solo, "Largo" by Mrs. Worthen Greg-erson, Greg-erson, Mrs. Bringhurst accompanying. accom-panying. Speakers were Mrs- Harry Slack, Senateor Claud Hirschi of Hurricane and Archie Kleinman of Toquerville. All. paid tribute to Mrs. Bringhurst for her loyalty as - a friend and churchworker, and her efficiency as a mother and home maker. Prayers were by H. A. Jackson and R. J. Naegle. The grave in the Toquerville cemetery was dedicated by Leo Bringhurst. Born, in Toquerville Oct. 28, 1874 she was a daughter of sturdy pioneers Philetus and Lorine Hardy Davis. She spent her entire en-tire life in Toquerville and was active in Primary, M. I. A. and relief society work as a teacher. Dec. 17, 1895 she was married in the St. George Temple to Howard Bringhurst who with her children survive. They are Mrs. Carrie Chatterly of Kanab; Lyle Bringhurst, Hurricane; Scott Bringhurst, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Florence Thayne, Casper, Wyo.; Leland, George, Loren and Leslie Bringhurst, Toquerville; and June Bringhurst, enroute home from Europe. There are also 28 grandchildren, grand-children, 4-great - grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Etta Higbee of Las Vegas. |
