Show MOTHER OF B. F. CHURCH DIES IN SALT LAKE CITY Frances Ladora Jacaway Church, 75, mother of B. F. Church of St. George, died at her home in ; Salt Lake City Monday, December Dec-ember 17, of diabetes. Funeral services held in the Deseret "Mortuary Saturday, Dec. 22, attended at-tended by a large group of friends and relatives. 'Born in Kanosh, ' Millard Coun- 'ty, April "11, 1870, her parents were 'John and Evelyn Boggs Jacaway. "They came to the Dixie Cotton mission when she was a small "Child, locating at Washing ton where she had her schooling and worked as a weaver at the factory for several years. On Jan. '6, 1890 she married Major Church at Fillmore, moving to , northern Utah, and finally locating in Salt Lake City. Mr. Chumh .died in October, 1936. Since her son "Bryan located in St. George Mrs. Church has visit-d visit-d 'him several times and renewed re-newed acquaintance with girlhood friends "here and in Washington. Three of Tier four children survive, sur-vive, Including Bryan F. Church of St. George, Mrs. Ruby Barney of Salt Lake City and Mrs., Wanda Hays of Glendale, Calif.' She also has three sisters, Mrs. Leticia Wilkins of Hinckley, Mrs. Susie Howard of Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Edith Hansen of Salt Lake City; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial was in Wasatch Lawn cemetery. |
