Show Miss Hilma Esplm and James A. Holt Marry At Gunlock Tuesday Eve Bishop Henry Bowler officiated at the garden wedding ceremony Saturday, Sat-urday, Aug. 30, at 6 p. m., uniting unit-ing in marriage Miss Hilma Es-plin, Es-plin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Esplin of Main Street, Ariz., and James Andrew Holt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holt of Gunlock. Miss Esplin has been employed in St. George the past three years. The wedding took place on the lawns fronting the Holt home in Gunlock. For the ceremony the bride wore a street suit of Navy blue with white trim. Her corsage cor-sage was of pink rosebuds. She was attended by her sister Norma Esplin, the groom's sister, Ber-niece Ber-niece Holt, Miss Janice Schmutz and Miss Wilma Kleinman, the latter from Toquerville. Rodney Neilson of Washington was the groom's best man. Following the ceremony a family fam-ily wedding dinner was served at the Holt residence with 30 relatives rela-tives and friends attending. In the evening more than 300 attended attend-ed the wedding dance given at the Gunlock open-air pavilion. Mr. Holt's 80-year-old grandmother, Mary Ella Leavitt, attended. Following a brief wedding trip the couple will make their home in Gunlock. Refreshments were served during the evening. The couple received many gifts from relatives and friends who attended. at-tended. Last Thursday evening, Miss Norma Esplin, Miss Berniece Holt and M i s s Genevieve Anderson united as hostesses at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. J. Clinton Clin-ton Snow, in complimenting the bride at a shower with 30 guests attending. The evening was de-i voted to a variety of games, following fol-lowing the making of a bride's book. After the serving of refreshments, re-freshments, the many gifts were opened by the guest of honor. |
