Show Seventh Annual Dixie Round-Up Kangaroo Court Holds First Session Here Wednesday Night Las Vegas Club Plans To Be Here To A Man Reports Hammer That it is rapidly drawing near to the annual Dixie Round-Up was forcefully brought home to a number num-ber of St. George citizens last night when Dr. M. O. Hutchings and his Kangaroo Court committee commit-tee rounded up "some of the boys and put the bee on 'em". These Kangaroo Court sessions are a regular prelinmary feature of the Round-Up which is scheduled to be "held here on Sept. 18, 19 and 20. All committees are reported to have their work under control with satisfactory progress reported report-ed by committee chairmen. The grounds committee declares that they will have the grounds in better bet-ter shape this year. Fences are to be higher and additional seating capacity is said to be arranged for. Chutes are being painted to give a more pleasing appearance to the grounds. Tickets Go On Sale Tickets are to go on sale ahead of time this year with a ticket being sold that will be good for any of the three nights. This will make it possible for the public to buy tickets, knowing that they do not need to use them on any specific night. Booths will be provided at the grounds where the tickets will also be on sale. The ticket sale is under the direction of Val McArthur, finance chairman. chair-man. Information coming from Las Vegas indicates that the Las Vegas Lions club will be here nearly 100 per cent strong. Also Elks, members of the Chamber of Commerce and other organized groups have indicated that they will return the support that the St. George Lions have always given them. Parades Dr. A. W. McGregor, parades chairman, urges businessmen and civic and club organizations to start planning their floats for the various parades so that everything every-thing will be ready when the time arrives. There will again be the three parades, Rodeo parade on Thursday, Junior parade on Friday Fri-day and the Beauty parade, Saturday Sat-urday evening. Cash prizes are being offered, and with a wide latitude allowed under the themes for the parades, the selecting and building of floats should be easier this year. Proof of the high caliber of the show to be presented, under the direction of Paul F. Hill, is seen in the following list of well-known well-known celebrations where Mr. Hill is in charge of the show and presents pre-sents his famous rodeo stock. The support of the businessmen and their employees is asked by the Lions in the wearing of rodeo apparel.
