Show Miss S. Louisa Conklin To fie Honored Monday Neighbors and friends of Miss S. Louisa Conklin will hold open house at the Presbyterian mission mis-sion home Monday, Mar. 2nd, from 3 to 6 p. m., complimenting Miss Conklin on her 76th birthday anniversary. an-niversary. Her many friends are cordially invited to call on her on this occasion. A resident of St. George for nearly 30 years of the half century cen-tury she has devoted to work as a Presbyterian missionary, Miss Conklin has endeared herself to young and old by her many kindnesses, kind-nesses, her work conducting a free kindergarten, and her genuine interest in-terest in civic programs. She is recognized as a truly "Good Samaritan", Sa-maritan", and her deeds of kindness kind-ness are too numerous to mention. Organist, chorister and speaker for the regular Sunday services of her church when she has no ' visiting speaker, Miss Conklin never fails in her duty and has ' allowed herself few vacations from i her work. Her calls on the sick, J the sorrowing 'and the unfortunate y are always appreciated. |
