Show Charming Ceremony Unites Miss Gena Higbee And Melville Ilirschi United in marriage in a charming charm-ing ceremony Friday evening, Feb. 20th, were Miss Gena Higbee, daughter of Mrs. Eva C. Higbee of St. George and Melville Hirschi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hirschi Hir-schi of Rockville. The marriage ceremony was read by Bishop i Byron H. Taylor at the Higbee apartment in the Rachel Cottam home, with a small group of relatives rela-tives and intimate friends attending. at-tending. For the ceremony the bride wore a smart afternoon dress of navy blue with white trim, with a corsage of gardenias and rose b'uds, and navy blue accessories. She was attended by Miss Cher-rill Cher-rill Snow as maid of honor, while Merlin Milne was the groom's best man. Also present for the reception beside St. George family members, mem-bers, were the bride's sister, Mrs. Eugne Palfreyman of Springville and her brother, Lamond Higbee of Cedar City; the groom's mother and sister, Robin, of Rockville and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bleak of St. George. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony the couple left for a short honeymoon to Los Angeles, returning re-turning Monday evening. The bride is a graduate of the Dixie high school and has been employed for some time at the local J. C. Penney store. I After graduating from the Hur- ricane high school, the groom spent one year as a scholarship student at the B. A. C, then graduated from the Dixie junior college and has since studied at the University Uni-versity of Utah. He is at present employed at the Bureau of Mines in Boulder City. |
