Show New Books At Library By MRS. ROXEY ROMXEY Recently books have been purchased pur-chased by the library, with the thought of helping those who are interested in genealogy to continue con-tinue their study at home. The books purchased were histories of Early Massachussets, Connecticut, Illinois and Vermont, the places where the first families established estab-lished themselves. One large volume vol-ume entitled, "American Families" Fami-lies" takes prominent early families fami-lies and is very valuable. Since the purchase of this volume, we have been offered $50.00 for the same. A collector of books said this book was rare and was worth hundreds of dollars. Books of several sev-eral families' histories were purchased pur-chased as follows: Pierce, Harris, Kent, Condit, Cary, Rogers and the Jewetts of America. We hope each year to add to these and gradually build into a genealogy department worthy of a town with a Temple in it. Much depends on the people and their support and interest in this.
