Show Abundant Moisture Reported On Dixie National Forest Snow surveys completed at the close of March on eight established estab-lished snow courses on watersheds within the Dixie National forest show abundant moisture for 1942, it is announced by Albert Albert-son, Albert-son, supervisor. The amount of snow and water in the Pine Valley watershed which drains into the Santa Clara river is somewhat less than last year. Snow on the Sevier division of the forest is greater than in 1941 with about the same water content. The winter precipitation reached the same proportions as in 1941, but somewhat less on the Dixie division. Seepage from storms last fall soaked into the ground as frost did not come until late. There was a good carryover carry-over in the storage of water in lakes of the Sevier division from 1941. Generally, there will be a good supply of water for the production pro-duction of range forage and for irrigation during 1942. which will (Continued on page eight) Dixie Moisture Report (Continued from first page) ! down and died in mud created by a seep in the-, reservoir.
