Show HURRICANE Mrs. Vernet Hinton Reporter Mrs. Rex Spendlove is reported making rapid improvement from her recent serious illness. Mrs. Marie Stanworth, daughter, daugh-ter, Helen . and son, Scott, returned re-turned Monday from visiting two weeks in Phoenix with her parents, par-ents, who celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary while she was visiting them. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brook's returned Tuesday from a week's vacation in Salt Lake City. Loring LeBaron left Tuesday for Kingman, to spend two weeks visiting. Miss Ora Williams, Mrs. Doris Chamberlain and Afton W. Gibson were dinner guests Sunday at the Zion cafeteria. Mrs. Mary Webb of Las Vegas spent last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Stirling. Yvonne Williams and Verna Woodbury-returned recently from several months employment at Ogden. Verna will attend the U. S. A. C. at Logan this winter and Yvonne is leaving soon for California where she has defense plant employment. Mrs. Doris Chamberlain and Miss Ora Williams entertained at a lawn party last Thursday evening eve-ning for Mrs. D. W. Gibson who is leaving soon for Houston, Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Tobler returned re-turned last week end from Salt Lake City where they had been visiting for several days. Lois Snyder and Evelyn Skaler of Salt Lake City were Hurricane .visitors last week. While here they made a trip to Navajo Lake. Mrs. Ora Williams has pur-, chased the D. W. Gibson home and plans to convert it into a maternity home which she will open Oct. 1st. Lena Hall has returned home after spending the summer in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crosby and family of San Diego, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crosby and children of Los Angeles were recent re-cent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Hall. Miss Claudia Crosby will remain in Hurricane to attend school. Mrs. Gwynne B. Hirschi left last week for Camp Howze, Tex., where she will visit her husband, Cpl. Fenton Hirschi for two or three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ence and small daughter of Ivins, spent Friday and Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ira H. Bradshaw, parents par-ents of Mrs. Ence. |
