Show SPR1NGDALE Mrs. Sterling Seegmiller Reporter Mrs. Alvin Allred and daughter, Leata, returned Sunday from California Cali-fornia where they had been visiting vis-iting for several days with Mrs. Gordon Bench, another daughter of Mrs. Allred. Howard Ruesch has been con-fied con-fied to his bed for several days. Mrs. Ernest Crawford spent the past week in St. George attending special classes and teacher's institute. in-stitute. She and Edwin DeMille are teachers for Springdale school this year. Roy Davis spent Sunday in Springdale visiting friends. Harry Gifford is home again after spending several weeks at the Veterans' hospital where he underwent two operations. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hardy have returned home from spending spend-ing two weeks at Toquerville, where Mr. Hardy has been employed. em-ployed. Mr. and Mrs. Othel Gifford made a business trip to St. George last week. Mr. and Mrs. Whitford Gifford left last Friday for Salt Lake City where they will spend several sev-eral days. Mrs. Leata Olsen and three children have returned from Paro-wan, Paro-wan, where they have spent most of the summer. Miss Emma Crawford is home after visiting in Parowan with Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Crawford. Mrs. William Brockmeier is home from visiting two weeks in Ogden. Mrs. Moses E. Gifford observed her 74th birthday anniversary on Sept. 8th, a family dinner being given in her honor at the camp grounds in Zion National Park. Mrs. Squire Crawford, who has been seriously ill is reported improving. im-proving. Sam Christensen has returned to the Bushnell hospital at Brig-ham Brig-ham City after a month's leave with relatives in Springdale. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Worthen of Panguitch have moved their family fam-ily to Springdale for the winter. Mrs. Chloe Winder Dumore and infant son arrived home last week from the hospital. Stewart Dennett and Miss Beth Crawford were married recently in Ogden from where Stewart left for his post with the U. S. Navy. The couple were accompanied accom-panied to Ogden by Miss Beulah Crawford. After Mr. Dennett left the two girls went on to Cheyenne, Chey-enne, Wyo., where they have employment. em-ployment. Thomas Brockmeier returned I recently to his post with the U. S. Navy after a month's leave, the first since entering the Navy three years ago. Daniel Winder is driving the school bus this year. |
