Show SPRINGDALE Mrs. Sterling Seegmiller Reporter Something new and different was a stork shower, held in honor of Ross Rozelle at the home of Dewey Excell. Ten gentlemen were present. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Brock-meier Brock-meier included Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Leigh of Seattle. Wash., and Mrs. Birdie Baggett of Cedar City. - Visitors at the home of Alvin Allred are Mr. and Mrs. Arden Allred and Cpl. and Mrs. Duard Millett. Home after a two week vacation vaca-tion in northern Utah is Mrs. Val Gene Mitchell. In honor of Mrs. Scott Worthen. who has gone to Panguitch for the summer, a handkerchief shower show-er was given by Mrs. Harmon Ruesch. Twelve ladies were present. pre-sent. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Carlson have returned to the cafeteria at Zion where Mr. Carlson will resume his duties as manager. Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Justet, Mrs. James Worthen and Miss Lillie Crawford attended the graduation gradua-tion exercises at Overton last week. Miss Violet Bean was one of the graduates. Vernon Ruesch is back in civvies civ-vies after being given a medical discharge form the U. S. Army. From England comes word that Gerald Gifford is making normal improvement from wounds received receiv-ed in action in Europe. Mrs. W. J. Brockmeier has received the Purple Heart which was recently presented to her husband for wounds received while in action in Germany. Pfc. Brockmeier is now resting in England. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin DeMille spent the week end in Las Vegas. Mrs. Elsa F. Ruesch has received re-ceived word that her husband. Calvin Ruesch, has been promoted to the rank of SSgt. He is stationed with the army in Alaska. Mrs. James Clancy entertained at a bridge party Monday afternoon. after-noon. Twelve guests were present. Miss Alice Alexander returned to her home at Zion Park after spending a week in Los Angeles with her sister. Mrs. Victor Ruesch and children child-ren are spending several days visiting in St. George. Special baptismal services were held here Sunday afternoon under the direction of our stake missionaries mission-aries for Mrs. Duard Millett. who was baptized into the church. |
