Show Many Fish Reported Planted In County Sportsmen of this area should find fishing to their liking this season, stated K. M. Parkinson, Wednesday, Wednes-day, in reporting the planting of legal sized fish in the various streams in the county since April 28. Credit is given the State Fish and Game Commission and Warden War-den Oliver Stratton for their cooperation in this program. To date there have been four loads planted in Enterprise Reservoir, Reser-voir, totaling 6584 legal sized fish; 1614 in Pine Valley Reservoir; Reser-voir; 1530 in Pine Valley Fields; 160 at Hunt's Ranch; 1572 in Grass Valley Reservoir; 1655 in South Ash Creek and tributaries; and 1590 in Leeds Creek. The 1945 program provides for continued plantings in each of these streams and reservoirs, so as to keep fishing worth while throughout the season, says Mr. Parkinson. Good results have followed the recent request for horses and cows to be slaughtered for the Panguitch Fish Hatchery, which is short of meat food for their large stock of fish. The exchange of meat for fish is working out satisfactorily, it is reported. |
