Show Public Meeting Being Called For Monday Nite By Chamber of Commerce War-Time Project Needs Of Washington County To Be Discussed A public meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 23rd at 8 p. m., in the county court house for the purpose of presenting and discussing discus-sing projects which could be of benefit to this section and the nation na-tion under war time condtions. The meeting is being called under the, auspices of the Chamber of Commerce, reports Rodney Ashby, president of the organization. "Many local leaders," reports Laron Andrus, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, "are busy writing up projects to present to the local people at this meeting, which will in turn be presented to Governor Herbert B. Maw and the State Industrial Development commission." It is pointed out that all projects proj-ects must be in written form. Talks will be given by men knowing know-ing the problems of this section. A general discussion will be permitted per-mitted on projects which are written writ-ten up to be presented. Invitations Invita-tions have been issued officially to only a few speakers, but time will be given to all persons presenting pre-senting a written statement of a project. "If you have information of a project of any kind which will make this area grow, write it up and come prepared to defend it. For the first time since we can remember the Governor of the State is bringing a commission to southern Utah and asking for our problems.
