Show New Mail Box Installed Outside Post Office Here Attention of citizens is called to the recently installed public mail box near the front entrance of the St. George post office. This, explains Postmaster Wm. Brooks, has been done as a war-time emergency em-ergency under order from Ambrose Am-brose O'Connell, first assistant Postmaster General and confirmed by Ramsey S. Black, fourth assistant, as-sistant, resulting from a recent investigation under Inspector Win-viggler Win-viggler of the Salt Lake postal service. Beginning Monday, Feb. 23rd, the lobby of the post office will be closed at 9 p. m., and this outdoor out-door box is for the convenience of those desiring to mail letters and small parcels after that hour. People desiring to get their mail in the evenings must call for it before 9 p. m. Citizens are requested re-quested to assist in spreading this information. . Mail posted in this outside receptacle will be stamped as of the hour taken from the mail box. |
