Show Mr. and Mrs. Philetus Jones Given Farewell Program In Ward Chapel ROCKVILLE, Utah. The Rock-ville Rock-ville ward chapel was packed to capacity last Friday evening for the farewell program and dance honoring Mr. and Mrs. Philetus Jones who left Monday, Jan. 31, for Salt Lake City, enroute to the southern states mission, to fill a six-months' mission for the L. D. S. church. The couple have spent most of their lives in Rockville, where they have reared ten children, all of who are married and have their own families. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jones have been active in church affairs, Mrs. Jones working work-ing in the Relief Society and other organizations, and Mr. Jones serving seven years as ward clerk, 14 years as bishop and as Sunday school superintendent and M. I. A. president in the Rockville ward. All ten of their children are uniting to provide funds for their parents expenses on their mission and most of them were present at the social last Friday evening. Mrs. Thomas Adams of Bunker-ville Bunker-ville and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Barnum of Logandale spent Sunday Sun-day in St. George visiting their brother, Asahel Barnum who was here receiving treatment under Dr. Milton Hunt. While here, Mrs. Adams also visited her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Huntsman. |
