Savage are spending I he w eek al I he Sulphur Springs hoi pools in I-iVerkin. Charles and Victor Angell of Sail I-ake City spent Wednesday night herv with Iheir mother, Mrs. Rehecca Angell. They were enroutc to Los Angeles to find employment. A meeting of the S. C. S. commit com-mit lee for the west district was held Monday at the homo of It. C. Savage, who is a member of the committee. Other members present pres-ent were: Henry Gubler, La-Verkin; La-Verkin; Gordon Kennedy, Charles Itork, SI. Gi-orgo; Martin Anderson, Ander-son, TiKiuerville; and Henry Cornelius Cor-nelius of Virgin. Mi's, nob Naogle and family I spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Savage. The Leeds Red Cross knitters met Thursday at the home of Mm. Mildred Dalton. The club organized last April with 16 1 memlx'rs, only one of whom could knit. Now all of the group are knitting and up to Feb. 1, turned in 40 articles, including scarfs and sweaters. They now have 13 sweaters, five scarfs and five pairs of socks completed and ready to hand in. The club is proud of its accomplishments thus far and are happy to contribute this service serv-ice to the war effort. |
