Beatty left Monday for Pleasant Grove to' visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Terry and their infant son, born Jan. 28. Miss Louise Cantrell left Tuesday Tues-day for San Francisco, where she has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thayne and son, Delwin, left Friday for their home in Wyoming. Their daughters, Twilla and Mammie, will remain with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Laura Bringhurst until the close of school. J. T. Beatty returned Wednes day from spending two weeks in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Kanab. The Toquerville ward Primary officers met Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. E. R.. Slack to honor her on her birthday anniversary. anni-versary. The program for our Sacrament services last Sunday was presented pre-sented by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barton of St. George and Mr. and Mrs Crosby of Inglewood, Calif. Mr. and Mrs.' Crosby and Mr. Barton were the speakers and Mrs. Barton furnished furn-ished the music, accompanied by Mrs. Samuel Bringhurst. Mrs. Crosby is a daughter of Linda Bringhurst formerly of Toquerville. Toquer-ville. Mrs. Thomas Bryner of Basic, Nev., is visiting at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bringhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams of Kanarra were business visitors in Toqeurville Tuesday. Mark V. Lamb rturned Monday from the Iron county hospital where he, underwent major surgery surg-ery recently. A. P. Spilsbury returned Tuesday Tues-day from Salt Lake City where he has been for the past month. Mrs. M. William Bringhurst and daughter, Doris, visited in St. George Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Empey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Antone B. Prince of St. George visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. ' Wilmer Anderson and children. Miss Sylvia Beatty spent Monday Mon-day in Hurricane visiting friends. Miss Berniece Jessop of Salt Lake City is here to spend a few weeks at the home of her brother, Howard Fish. Mrs. Amelia Slack is reported slowly recovering from recent ill-jness ill-jness at the home of her son. Elwin Slack in LaVerkin. , Woodrow Stapley left Wednesday Wednes-day morning from St. George for Salt Lake City where he will have his pre-induction physical examination. |
