Show HURRICANE Mrs. Vernet Hlnton Reporter Miss Stella Isom and Miss Nedra Gibson came Monday from Salt Lake Citv to visit relatives and friends. The South Field stockholders held their annual meeting Monday in the south fields. Many of the old members were in attendance. Layne Jepson is home on furlough fur-lough from the Navy. Mrs. Jepson is here from Las Vegas visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Angel. Mrs. Newell DeMille of Rock-ville Rock-ville was a visitor in town Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ely Whatcott of Cedar City were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Larsen last Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Tobler were visiting in Santa Clara Thursday. The high school orchestra played for a Thanksgiving dance at Santa Clara, Nov. 25. ' Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Webb and son, Clark, and daughter, Mary, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Stucki of Cedar City. Harvard Hinton came home Wednesday from a two-year mission mis-sion in the western states. Mrs. Viola Broadbent is here due to the death of her mother. Grace Duncan of Ogden spent Thanksgiving holiday here visiting friends. r Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brooks were dinner guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. William Brooks in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Sand-berg Sand-berg and daughter, Elaine, and Barbara Hirschi were in Richfield over the week end attending the Associated Civic clubs convention there. The American Legionnaires held a regional convention at the high school last Friday - evening. A large crowd from surrounding Posts were present. ' Mr. and Mrs. Val Jones of Enterprise En-terprise were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Webb. Mrs. Jack Davis left Sunday for her home in San Jose, Calif. Floyd Bradshaw is here from Salt Lake City due to ill health. The Mclntyres drove to Boulder City last Wednesday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Don Jolley, returning Friday evening. Mrs. Frank Lee underwent a goitre operation Tuesday at the Iron county hospital. She is improving im-proving rapidly, according to reports. re-ports. Hugh Neilson arrived Sunday on furlough from Madison, Wis., where he is enrolled in the basic engineering school of the University Uni-versity of Wisconsin. Ward Stratton came home Sunday Sun-day on furlough from Washington. Charles Larg is here, due to the death of his grandmother, Mrs. Amos Cox. Mrs. Christensen of Salt Lake City is here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Larson. |
