Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. LeavKt Reporter Mrs. Walter Hardy returned this week from the Overton hospital with her infant son, born Nov. 14. Visitors last week in Bunker-viiie Bunker-viiie included Bishop Melvin H. Leavitt and son, Clair of Alamo, Nev.; Lorenzo Leavitt of Santa Clara; and Marva Bunker of Las Vegas. Mrs. Keith Abbott has been visiting her parents, Mr, and Mrs, Ed. Terry. A farewell social was given recently re-cently in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Abbott and family, who left last Friday to make their home near Nampa, Ida. Mrs. Foster Polley, the former Miss Reva Bunker, returned from Farragut, Ida., where she spent the past three months with her husband, who was in training there. He is now attending the O. C. S. at Columbia university. Speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday were Mr. Davis and Mrs. Crandall, both of Las Vegas. They were here in the interest of genealogy. They also held a meeting in Mesquite, following the meeting here, with the genealogical genealogi-cal committees of both wards. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hafen of Salt Lake City spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with Mr. Hafen's mother, Mrs. Ellen Hafen. They were dinner guests at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Mary A. Hafen one day while here, and also visited in Las Vegas with their brother, Oak Hafen and sister, Hazel. Another sister, Mrs. La-Rue La-Rue Emmett of Enterprise spent one day here with them. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Leavitt who recently moved to Idaho, returned last week, as he is soon ' leaving for Army duty. Mr. Leavitt's brother, Reed and wife, also came from Idaho to spend Thanksgiving Thanks-giving here with them. His sister, Marian, who is employed in Las Vegas, joined them here. The group left for Las Vegas to visit another sister, Karen. . .Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Potter of Las Vegas have purchased the Valley Supply Store from Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Abbott. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fielding Hardy had the misfortune mis-fortune to fall from a horse, injuring in-juring her head. She was rushed to the hospital in St. George, where several stitches were taken to close the wound. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Waite spent Thanksgiving in Provo with their son, Vern, who is attending the B. Y. U. Mrs. Leah Tobler accompanied ac-companied them and, will visit her daughter, Norma, who is also attending at-tending the B. Y. U. Mrs. Mary Ellen Leavitt spent Thanksgiving in Overton and Lo-gandale Lo-gandale with her two daughters. Mrs. Roy Felt and Mrs. Oliver Sprague. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Jones of Gunlock visited over the week end with their daughter, Mrs. Elmer Leavitt. Mrs. Floyd Waite of Las Vegas is here visiting her mother, Mrs. Thomas H. Adams. Bunker Huntsman left last week to enter the U. S. Army. He' is a son of George Huntsman. His wife, the former Miss Rose Hafen, received a letter saying he is stntioned at San Diego. |
