Show Marriage of Flight Officer Rex Prisbrey and Miss Julieta Lucera Told Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Prisbrey are making known this week the marriage mar-riage of their son, Flight Officer Rex Prisbrey and Miss Julieta Lucera of Santa Fe, New Mexico, daughter of Mrs. Blanche Lucero, who is secretary of the New Mexico Mex-ico state board of finance. Judge Thomas J. Mabry performed the marriage ceremony in the Supreme Su-preme Court building Nov. 16th, in the presence of immediate relatives and a few close friends of the couple. The bride wore a teal blue suit with black accessories and corsage of gardenias. She was attended by Mrs. R. W. Corbett as matron of honor. The groom's best man was Cpl. R. W. Corbett. Following the ceremony the bride's mother entertained at a wedding dinner at the LaFonda for the immediate wedding party. The bride was born in Mexico, coming with her parents to Santa Fe in early childhood. She attended at-tended the public schools of Santa Fe and last year attended Colorado Colo-rado Women's college in Denver, also attending the first term of the present year. She is a well-known well-known member of the younger set, was a sub-deb in high school and a member of the Rainbow Girls. The bridegroom is one of three brothers serving in the U. S. armed forces and is a former Dixie college student. One brother is in Alaska and the other brother, Clifford, is in the Central Pacific. Rex joined the Army in 1941, being a member of the 115th Engineers. En-gineers. In 1942 he transferred to the Army air corps, training at Santa Ana, Hemet and Bakers-field, Bakers-field, Calif., for his pre-flight, primary and basic courses, with his advance flight training at Williams Wil-liams Field, Phoenix, and from there went to Peterson Field, Colorado Springs. He is now stationed sta-tioned at Will Rogers Field, Okla. He met Miss Lucero while at Peterson Field. Enroute from Santa Fe to Oklahoma, Okla-homa, the couple visited with the groom's family in Washington, where they were honored Nov. 23rd with an informal reception. The program included music, singing sing-ing and readings, many fine gifts being received. |
