Show Two-Day Celebration At Leeds Camp Put Over Satisfactorily The two-day feature (celebrating (celebrat-ing the fifth aniversary of the CCC) at camp Leeds was accomplished accom-plished to the entire satisfaction of the officials of the camp. The celebration demonstrated: First that the citizens of Washington Wash-ington county are definitely interested in-terested in what the camp at Leeds is doing. Second, the camp personnel with the cooperation ot residents were able to present a splendid program. While a definite check on attendance at-tendance was not taken, visitors came from a radius of 35-40 miles including the following cities and communities: St. George, Cedar City, Hurricane, Leeds, eyo, and Gunlock. The camp's demonstration ot its life and accomplishments was accepted ac-cepted bv the visitors with eager earnestness, as they visited all departments de-partments of the camp. The first day's program was climaxed by a band concert under the direction of Prof. Earl J. Bleak of the Dixie college. The second day's anniversary feature was culminated by a special program under the direction direc-tion of Company 5S5 at the camp dining room, before a capacity audience. |
